Cheers MOM. I spent eight happy years living in Brighton, and more than a few nights down at Hove dogs.

Hi Justin, thanks for dropping in again.

If you take a look at http://www.juicestorm.com/results day 2 - 5th October 2008 - starting with the 13:44 at Hove, then the 14:10 at Huntingdon you will see 3 consecutive losses then a winner then 2 consecutive losses. And again at Oxford in the 14:38, 3 consecutive losers then in the US the 18:31 at Belmont another 3 consecutive losses.

The key to this staking plan is the low initial stake - £1 - and the recovery over 2 bets rather than one. For the more cautious I would even suggest a recovery over three or four bets but then that can also bring its own challenges. I'll do a post on that at another time for why I favour my route.

At the Betfair minimum stake of £2 what you write may well prove correct -it depends on the price. Apart from the ability to recover because the stake and exposure even with an adequate bank is massive the liquidity might not be sufficient.

However, if you look at all results we regularly have two and three consecutive losses. To recover after the third - if you haven't hit your Stop Loss of course (mine is £4000)- you need and I recommend a MINIMUM bank of 10,000 times your stake. The bank being used for this exercise was a little over that.

Most wouldn't want to commit funds of that size to this but you could still get away with a bank of £1000 for an initial stake of 10 pence.

The loss of connection has happened to me twice and on both occasions, obviously, no bets were made. The 2nd occasion was today where we missed five races in the afternoon. When it came back BetbotPRO carried on for the rest of the day happily as you'll see in the results which will be posted by Lee later tonight or in the morning. There is no need to log back in.

Now, as to the greyhounds, I have to admit that I know nothing about them. However, based on past statistics, if you oppose the favourite - lay him - and use the settings I do you will make a profit annually and will not have a losing month. But, as we all know, the past is not always a guide to the future.

Finally, please bear in mind, always, always, always use a Stop Loss. It'll let you live to fight another day.

Thanks so much for posting and it really is no trouble at all to reply. I'm sorry I couldn't assist more with the greyhounds - and I come from Hove where there's a great Coral's track! Good luck Justin, as always.

Hello again MOM, hope you are well. This is probably a question for the creator of BetbotPro but regarding the "recovery bets". Say you lay 2 or 3 consecutive losers in any given day then surely you will hit your stop loss pretty quickly because the stake needed to retrieve 3 losses, and the potential fourth loss, will be too high? Just a thought. I have a couple of quick questions which hope you can answer! Say you have set up your bot for the day and gone out. What happens if your broadband connection fails at some point (even for a few seconds) and connections to Betbot/Betfair are lost. Presumably thats it 4 the day as you are not around to log back in. And finally, and apologies for my cheek, but could I ask what system you lose for your greyhound lays?
Many thanks and a very good evening.
